BEACH HOP 2021
comes to Thames
on Thursday 25th March!!
We are excited to announce we're taking the Festival to Thames for the first time with the Repco Power Cruise on Thursday 25th March.
Registered cars will assemble at the Ford Reserve (Williamson Park) in Whangamata
with a 10:00am departure time and arriving
in Thames approximately 50 minutes later.
The historic main street will be closed for the cars arriving from Whangamata for the car show, with 5 areas of live entertainment
(including 4 bands) and lots of restaurants,
cafes, bars and shops within the area.
It's also exciting that both Repco and Ford have businesses in Thames, so they will be adding even more to the day's festivities!
Thanks to Gastronomics Restaurant Cafe and Bar, there will be a $1,000 entrant draw
(for those cars that departed from Whangamata and are on the official Repco Power Cruise)
at the 2:00pm prize giving, along with
other trophies and prizes.

Suggestions for this amazing event:
We would ask Thames locals to to dress Rock and Roll style to help create a great atmosphere
(there is a prize for Best Dressed Male and Best Dressed Female)
Cafes and restaurants are advised to have plenty of food and drink available
(we are expecting between 5,000 and 10,000 people to attend this event)
