Children in Care

The cost-of-living crisis is impacting everyone,
and we want to help ease the burden.
Our charity, 'Children in Care', is offering
3 baby care packages to support struggling families
and alleviate financial stress.
If you know a parent or caregiver of a child two years old
or younger who could use some assistance,
please send us a message on Facebook
to nominate them for one of our free care packages.

Paeroa Playcentre

Whanāu ngātahi - families growing together.

At Thames Kindergarten we are passionate about providing our tamariki with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy. Our tamariki enjoy participating in interactive games, songs and activities that make learning phonics and numeracy fun. Tamariki feel a real sense of pride when they recognise, write and think of words or objects that begin with our letter of the week. Our kindergarten curriculum provides a strong foundation for future learning. We have received positive feedback from new entrant teachers, highlighting that tamariki from our kindergarten are transitioning into literacy and phonics in the classroom seamlessly. Nga tamariki are very focused when it comes to developing their numeracy skills. Through activities and games they are beginning to develop early mathematical concepts such as number recognition and counting, shapes, patterns and colours. Our Jolly Phonics and Numeracy activities are created to make learning fun and engaging for all tamariki

Quality Care, Food and Transport
We are a community based Early Childhood Education Centre in the heart of beautiful Moanataiari. We are licensed for 49 tamariki, with 39 over twos and 10 under twos. We provide 3 meals a day and transport is available with conditions attached. We believe children should be at the heart of everything we do and value whakawhanaungatanga as an integral part of our practice. Our tamariki are our highest priority and opportunities are always made available for them to learn, and most importantly have fun in a safe, respectful and caring environment. Please feel free to give us a call or pop in and meet our team.
