Thames Central Kids Kindergarten

Central Kids Thames Kindergarten is part of your community. We are a whānau focused kindergarten, and parents/whānau are always welcome to stay, make a cuppa and spend time with us.
Our kindergarten supports sustainable practices including gardening, recycling and sourcing sustainable resources.
Children are able to plant and collect vegetables and herbs fresh from our garden to use in our daily baking. We also offer a weekly Ngāhere programme where children develop an appreciation and respect for Papatūānuku.
This gives our older tamariki the opportunity to spend one whole day a week immersed in nature at a local bush reserve.

We are extremely proud of our kindergarten and programme.
We look forward to meeting you soon!

Children in Care
Te manaaki tamariki

Our Mission:
Providing care for our most vulnerable children
during time of need.
Our Vision:
We are committed to aiding children entering foster care and those confronting unforeseen and challenging circumstances
within the Thames/Coromandel Ward.
Our objective is to furnish them with essential supplies, predominately donated and often recycled, including clothes, toys, food and other essentials.
This endeavour aims to eliminate poverty and create a positive impact on the community we serve.
Subsequently, once the initial aid has been extended, we will refer them to relevant organisations responsible for ongoing assistance.

Quality Care, Food and Transport
We are a community based Early Childhood Education Centre in the heart of beautiful Moanataiari. We are licensed for 49 tamariki, with 39 over twos and 10 under twos. We provide 3 meals a day and transport is available with conditions attached. We believe children should be at the heart of everything we do and value whakawhanaungatanga as an integral part of our practice. Our tamariki are our highest priority and opportunities are always made available for them to learn, and most importantly have fun in a safe, respectful and caring environment. Please feel free to give us a call or pop in and meet our team.
