The Wings and Wheels Thames 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Sir Keith Park Memorial Airfield in Thames, New Zealand, featuring vintage cars, military vehicles, and various aircraft (warbirds, microlights) with live music, food, and family fun from 10 am to 3 pm. It's a large annual event, part of a broader classic vehicle scene, with early bird tickets available, and it's a great day out for all ages.

The Scavenger Hunt is back… but this time, it’s a mystery to solve!
This year’s Great Waihī Beach Scavenger Hunt has been reworked into a detective-style investigation, where clues aren’t just about finding locations, they’re pieces of a case file you’ll need to analyse, connect, and question to find $1,500 in stolen cash!!
You’ll move through the Village uncovering evidence, witness statements, CCTV sightings and timelines. Your challenge? Work out who took the money, and prove it.
If you love case files, puzzles, logic, and that satisfying moment when everything clicks, you’re going to love this new format.
Free to take par Perfect for teens and adults.
Kids can tag along and help with the scavenger hunt tasks while the grown-ups crack the case!
