We are inviting school age applicants to create a mural that reflects the Seagull Centres values. Entre as a group or an individual. Prezzie card prizes to the total value of $1000. 2023 Senior A and Senior B Club Draws

After team changes to both competitions, both draws have required significant changes for the upcoming season.

Here is what you need to know

  • Using same start and finishing dates as previously communicated.
  • Easter and Kings Birthday weekends off.
  • Everyone agreed on a 12-game season for this year’s competition over 15 weeks. Excluding Semi’s and Finals. We have stuck with this.
  • 6 home matches and 6 away matches each in the A’s (12 in total). 5 home matches and 5 away matches each in the Bs (10 games in total)
  • Points are carried through all season with the philosophy of the draw been ONE ROUND. The team who is top of the table after Round 7 will receive the Silcock Shield (As) and Elders Cup (Bs) after everyone has played each other. Each team will play everyone twice, except for two teams.
  • In short, it is the same format as the original draws that were released.

Please note that start times have been changed for the 2023 season to accommodate the extra travel times for teams travelling away. This is a blanket change across the board.

Berliner THOMAS LOEFKE
Plays Harp at Kauaeranga Hall
Sunday 11 June @ 2:30pm
Islands in the North Atlantic, like Tory Island - the Irish island of legend and myth, the Hebrides in the Northwest of Scotland, and the Shetlands - are the places where Berlin-based harpist and photographer Thomas Loefke spends a considerable amount of time every year to compose music.
On Sunday 11th June Thomas with be entertaining his audience with a harp concert, accompanied by a slideshow of some of his dramatic photos - coastal landscapes, the wide open space of the Atlantic ocean, and the rich wildlife of the North Atlantic.
Thomas’s music gives expression to the sounds of the Celtic Middle Ages, the lively dances of Irish folk music, along with his own original compositions.
Thomas learnt his trade in Dublin from Ireland's leading harp players - Máire Ní Cháthasaigh, Helen Davies, Jeanette Harbison and Áine Ní Dhúill. Since 1984 he has been playing professionally and has won several international prizes.
"People are listening to quiet haunting music again," says Thomas. "It's amazing how the sound of the harp takes the speed out of everyday life and brings you back to a sort of tingling slowness."
