From Te Ngū Tipua | the Colossal Squid’s home in the depths of Antarctica’s Ross Sea to Ngā Kuaka | Bar-tailed Godwits’ breeding grounds in Alaska, Colossal Squid: Freaky Features! Te Ngū Tipua: Ngā Wāhanga Weriweri! and Our Sea Life! Our Sea Birds! Our Responsibility! offer something for everyone. Colossal Squid: Freaky Features! Te Ngū Tipua: Ngā Wāhanga Weriweri! is an exhibition developed and toured by Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand. It tells the story of a colossal squid’s accidental death in the Ross Sea in 2007 and highlights some of this huge creature’s most astonishing features. It is in Thames for the first time ever until 17th October.

We're Sarah & Pete from RiverSong Retreat, a yoga and wellbeing sanctuary tucked away beside the Kauaeranga River just outside Thames. We offer community yoga classes, wellbeing retreats, sauna sessions, opportunities for others to host private events, and above all a peaceful space to slow down, find life balance, and enjoy the beautiful nature we call home.
