Hobnail debut new album
at Kauaeranga Hall
August 9th

Hobnail Debut New Album at Kauaeranga Hall @ 9th August “Three Part” is the 8th album from Wellington’s Hobnail. Hobnail are an institution. They have played shows everywhere from Pittsburgh to Paekakariki, New Plymouth to Norfolk Island, Auckland to Amsterdam, Germany to Gore, the Canadian Prairies to the Canterbury Plains. They are 3-time finalists at the New Zealand Music Awards (Best Folk Album and Best Country Song twice). Their new album features Hobnail’s take on songs by some of their favourite Kiwi and Australian bands and songwriters, including Don McGlashan, Barry Saunders, the Waifs, Nick Cave, and more. These versions highlight the vocal and instrumental interplay between these three exceptional musicians. Hobnail are touring New Zealand with their new album by core members Rob Joass (vocals, guitar, mandola) Jo Moir (vocals, violin) and Hamish Graham (vocals, guitars, percussion). They are live at Kauaeranga Hall to showcase this new album as well as some of their old favourite songs. With “Jo Moir's barnstorming fiddle”, great songs and spectacular harmonies, Hobnail's live show will make your feet move and your heart sing.
