Elizabeth Kyle Gallery 726 Queen Street Thames Sunday February 22nd 1:00pm - 4:00pm $40
Our next Drawing Lesson, on 22nd February 2026, is going to be such FUN! With my guidance and encouragement, even those of you who think you cannot Draw - will prove yourselves wrong.
We start with a simple egg-shaped structure, and we go from there.
I have graphite pencils all sharpened to the finest points.
We are going to draw Aged Faces, with gorgeous wrinkles and other details (not the poster woman, though. she is there to gain your attention).
This is really a lesson in Subtle Line Drawing. You actually can't go wrong - even if you try. I can't wait to see your amazing portraits.
I have chosen 22 characters for you to choose from. You need to INTUITIVELY pick the one that stands out to you.
You drawing, without trying, will no-doubtedly illustrate something about your own character....even by the WAY you draw it .
I will look after you and it WON'T be daunting. Cheers, [Elizabeth]

The photos attached are from Italy during WWII, a dog is usually always in the photo!
On Purple Poppy Day you will learn about the role of animals, not just as companions. Lest We Forget. Source: D Barker Collection

“Hearts in Harmony” is a fundraising event for the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Thames. They are raising funds for their parish centre building in Willoughby Street, Thames.
They have been delighted with the response they have had from so many groups in the Thames community. 13 different performing groups will come along to perform and support the event.
The opening item will be a lovely performance from the poi group at St Francis school. There will be items from India, Tonga, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines and many more. And the grand finale will be a professional Bubble Extravaganza from Russia. This is going to be something extra special for Thames and there will be amazing food for sale from all around the world.
