Please come join us for an evening of music before Elsa and Alex (Tiny Lightning) leave our shores!
FĒI LÍN will be singing and playing her guitar, with some new songs to share. Joining her for the last time (well not the LAST ever time but who knows how long we'll have to wait so hear this combo again), Elsa will be bringing her beautiful grand harp, flute, voice and original songs to grace the stage of the Monkey House Theatre.
A little send off to celebrate the love of music that has grown out of this community, and friendship that has bloomed with it! It's very sad to see Elsa and Alex go, but exciting adventures things await them over the sea.

We are so excited to invite you to a very special Winter Solstice community ceremony, Ink & Ember, hosted at Te Tawa Farm in the enchanting Karangahake Gorge, facilitated by ceremonial artists, oracles, and mystical women Ashley River, Gaia Wilder, & Alamein Hollis.
This event was born through a collective vision to bring community together as a bridge between dark and light, to honor the union of feminine and masculine, and to celebrate the deep shift of the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, and Matariki.
In this 4-hour ceremony, we will be feeding the heart’s fire with plant connection, sacred tattoo, story medicine, talisman creation, a delicious community meal, circling around the Hearth to ignite the fire within us all through the darkest months.
We hope to hold you on the land through this initiation and ancestral remembrance that coming together in this way will inevitably be.

Dianne will be leading a new creative class at the centre for those that would like to use mixed media to tell a life Story(s).
At the culmination of the 6 week course the creative participants will be supported to hold an exhibition of their work at the centre for friends and family.
Dianne had this to say about this exciting new initiative.
“Telling our stories has been a part of our human experience since mankind first took to creating images on cave walls and the stories of creation that we told around the ancient fires.
Our stories become part of our collective Manual for Life and as we tell them, they shed light on the path for others travelling the same way, encouraging and strengthening each other to keep on putting one foot in front of the other.”
